4 Irreplaceable Illustrators | deseyen candy series
It’s back! Yes, I know it’s been a minute since we’ve had some inspo’ up in this place. Welcome to this new mini series on my blog, deseyen candy, where I feature amazing artists of a specific line of work in any creative field. The idea is to support other artists and inspire each other for our own work and projects. Enjoy!
4 Irreplaceable Illustrators
1. Greg Mike
Based in Atlanta, GA, Greg Mike is an illustrator with a street art influence with designs that portray whimsical, yet eerie mid-century cartoons. His character designs can be seen on billboards, vehicles, walls, skateboards, products, and more. Greg Mike is the founder and creative director of ABV AGENCY / GALLERY, a multi-platform studio specializing in branding, apparel design and visual production. His work is sure to turn heads in urban areas as his illustrations are vibrant in color and bold in expression.

2. Sam Larson
Sam Larson is a Portland, Oregon based freelance artist who illustrates amazing works inspired by nature and woodland animals. His largest platform is his Instagram where he shares his illustration process on unique mediums such as coffee cups and leaves. He also creates tiny illustrations with stippling techniques and uses pennies as a comparison to show the scale of his drawings. He combines drawings of mountains, trees, etc. with animals to create unique compositions.

3. Brendan Rogers
Brendan Rogers is a talented illustrator from Virgina Beach, VA that is particularly great at drawing people/portraits. He consistently uploads his drawings on Instagram, sharing with followers the process of his work. The details in his drawings are impeccable; from accurately depicting reflections, to perspectives and spot-on shading that allows his subjects to jump off the page (or screen). In addition to this creative pursuit, he also creates hip hop music (SoundCloud link below).

Jon Burgerman is an English-born artist living in Williamsburg, New York, US. He is an Illustrator, or shall we say professional doodler, with works published in widely known design magazines such as IdN and Computer Arts. He has also had works featured in London’s Victoria and Albert Museum and Science Museums. Similar to Greg Mike, his illustrations fit in with the street art style and have been translated into products such as toys and other collectables.
